- Model Calibration which allows you to determine unknown model parameters from measurements of transients. Dymola has support to investigate which parameters of a model can be estimated from given measurements.
- Design Optimization by tuning parameters of a device or its controller to improve system dynamics. Multi-criteria optimization allows the designer to specify several criteria and interactively decide on trade-offs between contradicting requirements.
- Model Experimentation means that you can evaluate a design by sweeping parameters and plotting sensitivities. Monte Carlo simulation.
- A customizable GUI is introduced that allows you to design your own dialogs for special tasks. The nested data structures needed for these tasks are visualized by a tree browser which makes relationships easier to understand and allows easy navigation between data items.
- Model Management including functionality for version control, encryption of models and model dependencies.
- New suit of Runge-kutta based solvers
- Visualize 3D for different types of plots: points in space, lines, parametric surface, level curves, bar graphs, pie charts, stem data plots and primitive forms (3D text, spheres, squares, arrows, disk and cone)
- Other enhancements such as direct links from error log to variables in model window, and direct manipulation of animation window using mouse for panning, rotating and zooming.
