SmartElectricDrives library released at Modelica Conference
At the 5th International Modelica Conference, the SmartElectricDrives library was released. The SmartElectricDrives Library allows modeling and simulation of an entire electric drive system and is ideal for simulation of hybrid electrical vehicles and new alternative concepts with electrical auxiliaries. The library is developed by arsenal research, Austria.

Dassault Systèmes has acquired Dynasim AB
In connection with the CAAV5 DEVCON conference in Paris (June 27, 2006), we announce that Dassault Systèmes has acquired Dynasim AB. "I am delighted that Dassault Systèmes has decided to use Modelica and Dymola as key technologies of its future CATIA Systems strategy" says Hilding Elmqvist, founder and CEO of Dynasim.
Dassault Systèmes will endorse Modelica as an open standard for describing embedded systems. Dynasim will continue as a company in Sweden with the same management. We will continue to serve our customers by developing and selling Dymola. The support of Modelica by Dassault Systèmes will ensure that your investments in the use of Dymola are secured and that there will be a natural extension in the future for full virtual product models.

DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen choose Dymola for modeling and simulation of air conditioning systems (March 31, 2005)
The German automotive manufacturers, DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen, have jointly decided to use Dymola and the new AirConditioning Library as a tool for model exchange and simulation of automotive air conditioning systems. After an extensive benchmark study Dymola was chosen in competition with several other modeling and simulation tools. Click here to read the press release.

Modelica Conference in Vienna (September 4-5, 2006)
The 5th International Modelica Conference took place on September 4th-5th in Vienna, Austria. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Modelica and Dymola and to meet other Dymola users and language developers.
