The Dynasim DerivativeAugust 1, 1996Dymola 3.0The fifth year of operation is now starting for Dynasim and we are proud to present Dymola 3.0. All functions, like graphical model builder, model translator, simulator, animator and plotter are integrated with a new graphical user interface. The Dymola language has been extended considerably, in particular, matrix equations and parameter expressions are supported. Several new libraries have also been developed.
Distributor in GermanyDynasim AB has assigned BAUSCH-GALL GmbH as distributor of Dymola in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Dr. Ingrid Bausch-Gall, co-owner of Bausch-Gall GmbH, works since many years in the field of simulation. Bausch-Gall GmbH will sell the products, supply consulting and help with the application, organize and teach object oriented modeling with Dymola in the German language.BAUSCH-GALL

Exhibition of Dymola in DresdenDuring the ASIM '96 conference in Dresden, Germany, September 16-19, 1996, Bausch-Gall GmbH will exhibit Dymola.Exhibition of Dymola in GenoaDymola will be exhibited at the ESS '96 (European Simulation Symposium) in Genoa, Italy, October 24-26, 1996.
User's group meeting in LilleTwo invited sessions focused on Dymola were organized in conjunction with the CESA'96 (Computational Engineering in Systems Applications MultiConference) in Lille, France, July 9-12, 1996. Eight papers were presented by Dymola users. In addition, the keynote speech, delivered by Francois Cellier with co-authors Martin Otter and Hilding Elmqvist, was related to new developments in Dymola: "Relaxing" - A Symbolic Sparse Matrix Method Exploiting the Model Structure in Generating Efficient Simulation Code.User's group meeting in SwedenA Dymola user's group meeting is being planned in Gothenburg in November, 1996. For details, contact us.
Dymola course in MunichA Dymola course was organized by Bausch-Gall GmbH and held by Dr Martin Otter, DLR on April 25, 1996 in Munich. Another course will be given during the autumn 1996. For dates, please contact us or Bausch-Gall GmbH.Dymola course in Avila, SpainThe UNED university (Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distanca), Madrid organized a course "Dymola - A Language for Modeling of Hybrid Systems" inJuly 15-19, 1996 in Avila, Spain for about 35 attendees.
HTML export of modelsAs an experimental feature, Dymola can automatically produce model and library documentation as HTML files. Model classes are described with text (documentation, declarations and equations) and with graphics (icon and diagram images). All references to model classes are clickable links, which makes browsing easy and efficient. For examples, see our home page.Export of animation results to the webWe have developed an export mechanism which produces VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) code. For web browsers, such as Netscape, there are plug-ins which enable inclusion of dynamic 3D pictures in web-pages. Visual simulation results which can be animated in Dymola can thus be exported to the net. For examples, see our home page.
Multi-objective optimization in DymolaDr Martin Otter from DLR in Munich will work at Dynasim during September-October, 1996. One of the major developments during that time will be to port the optimization module from the CACSD package ANDECS to the Dymola environment.
Dymola 3.1Dymola 3.1 will include HTML and VRML export. Beta versions of these functions can be made available on request. |
